Some of you might be avid knitters (you might say almost compulsive). We knitters have bags full of un-knitted yarn, hidden all over the house. Whenever we come upon a sale, it's impossible not to buy, buy, buy. Most times we are involved in no less than four projects or in a knit shop shmoozing with other knitters. Well, it keeps us out of bars and off the streets.
The point to all of this is: The Knitty Kitties love to share our enthusiasm with others who are into knitting, as well as crocheting, cross-stitching, beading, etc., and would love to get together with anyone who would like to spend some time with other crafters. Some members have taught knitting on and off for years during and would love to teach this meditative, relaxing craft to anyone interested in learning. We also have all the materials to get started (see first paragraph).
We met each Weds at 7pm on a rotational basis at a member's home for what is a “Knit and Sip” for couple of hours. No children, no cooking, no telephones, no laundry, and no politics. You get the point. Just a safe haven to come and unwind while enjoying a cup of coffee/tea and whatever has been baked that day for a snack.
Looking forward to hearing from some of you who are interested. Call at 697-8838 or email me at pmoon@optonline.net or swannanoa@optonline.net .
You are in for a lot of fun.
